I'm doing okay at school. The problem is, my friends give me no respect. I try my best to treat them well but I am treated as the nerd that everyone laughs at.
Someone asked me if I like classical music. The answer is yes. If I like doing newspaper crosswords. The answer is yes. If I wear glasses. Same again. If I like school. Yes. Do I tie my tie properly? (Peanut) Yes. That makes me a nerd. I'm that stupid idiot that isn't like everyone else. Children at secondary school are like flocks of sheep. There's a leader and everyone follows. They tie their ties with big knots, they have skirts as short as possible, they keep their top button undone, they mess their hair up, everything. The boys can roam free, but with girls you're stuck in an endless cycle of mirrors, make-up and handbags.

I do all the things they don't do. I tie my tie properly, so they call it a peanut and laugh at me. I don't mess my hair up. I wear my glasses when I need to. The way they laugh at me is stupid- it's because I'm different to them.

I am enjoying secondary school, but everyone just suddenly grows up. I have not grown up so quickly, so I like things they think are stupid and babyish. I struggle to make friends. There are some people that can easily do it with no problems, but I just can't bring myself to say hello. I'm also an easy target for bullying, because I'm weak and I don't react.

This post is not to make you feel sorry for me, it's just to show that secondary school can be a tough place. Everyone looks the same, it can be difficult at first but it's not as hard for me as this post makes it seem. I am happy by myself, without friends. I've been that way more or less for the past two years. This is the way it's always been, and that's the way I like it. I can manage by myself more than some of my friends can.

Kids my age are missing the fun that they could be having, because they're too busy worrying about the way they look and whether or not they have a 'girlfriend' or 'boyfriend'.

Friday 30th September 2011

Hello! Secondary school has been fantastic! I've had a few friendship problems, but I suppose that was meant to happen. The homework has started.

I am really working on my cooking, ready for when I do it in T.K. I love cooking, the first things I ever baked were fairy cakes. That's the same for most people. They're probably the easiest, most commonly baked things.

I've been thinking. Why do children wear their ties so low and droopy? I tie my tie properly, and everyone calls it a peanut. They tease me about it. How do you tie your tie? Comment and tell me please!

Tuesday 6th September 2011

Hello!

Today I had my first day at secondary school! It was great fun, but I was very nervous. We had a lesson kind of thing with our form tutor. Where she gave us our planner, calendar and an information booklet about year seven. After that, we went for our first lesson. We had double maths today. :( We started with our first maths lesson, then break, then drama, then art, then lunch and then maths. We nearly missed our bus on the way back, I discovered why my Dad's hearing is so bad and my friends ran off without me to drama which is the hardest lesson to find. I won't forget this next time they get lost...

On our first day it was only year 7 in school, so tomorrow will probably be a bit of a shock.

Sunday 28th August 2011

I've got 1 + 1/2 weeks left until big school!

I went to Cambridge yesterday. It was fun. I got a silicone chocolate mould, a black puffle keyring and a load of air drying modelling clay. Hang on, it is air drying isn't it...? Oh good, it is.

THERE WAS AN EVIL TEDDY BEAR TRYING TO EAT ME!!!!!!

I haven't got much else to say, except that I am knitting my own school bag.

Tuesday, 23rd August

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted for ages. (Not that there's anyone to apologise to...)

I was in a horrible campsite, rubbish facilities, no electricity etc.

Anyway, I am really quite bored. I made home made baked beans on Sunday, and then on Monday I got to make my Mum, Grandma and brother a meal. I did breaded fish (I did the breadcrumbs and everything), homemade baked beans, potato wedges, cabbage and broad beans. (I didn't want to do the last 2.)

I completed all of New Super Mario Bros. It took me 3 months...

We're going to make cereal bars, crisps and marshmallows soon. Also, I've really got into knitting, and my Mum has got dreams of a knitting company. *Sigh*

Also, we got my new uniform for seconday school! Goodbye primary school, and good riddance.

Wednesday 2nd August

I'm on holiday right now, and I'm lucky enough to have the internet. Yesterday I bought a little rubber dingy and I played in the rock pools with it. There is a rocky beach and a sandy beach, and it's brilliant when the tide is out. We come here every year.

I haven't really got much more to say...

Okay then.

Saturday July 30th 2011

Hello all! (Which is about 0),

We made popcorn the other day, and I accidentally forgot to put a lid on the pan so there was popcorn EVERYWHERE. It was toffee flavoured, because salted and butter are awful. Sadly, the recipe wasn't that good so it came it too sticky. It was a really good cookery book as well!

I'm going on holiday next week, so I might be able to post once or twice but it depends on how busy I am. We'll be on the beach non stop!

This is a short post because I'm about to eat chocolate.

Goodbye!

Tuesday 26th July 2011

Today has been fun, but a little boring. I made lemon meringue pie (for the first time), and it was a great success. I really enjoyed making it, and it was quite an easy recipe. When you buy it in shops, the lemony bit has a lot of dye so it's bright yellow, but when you make it yourself it has a much more natural colour. (And flavour)

I have just been sitting here for 15 minutes, wondering what to write. Hmmm. It's quite late and I'm very tired, after being woken up by a mixture of parrots, a little sister and hunger. (I hadn't had much to eat the night before- the tuna tasted old. It had been in the cupboard for a few weeks.)

Will anyone actually read this???

Maybe I'll post tomorrow after our trip to the zoo.

Friday, July 22nd 2011

Today has been great! Yesterday, as a leaving present a friend gave me an amazing food thermometer. I've been desperate for one for ages. At 8:00 this morning I made lemon flavoured barley sugars, and I've also made plum jam from the plums at the back of our garden. My sister (who eats nothing), loves the jam, and so does everyone else. I don't think it was because of me, I think it was just that we had nice plums.

I played football in the garden with my brother (shock, horror! I had some exercise!) and I spent hours making all the jam and everything.

The weather has been better than today than the last few days. We've had non stop rain, but I can't complain because it's much better than a heatwave or a drought.

I like writing in lots of different paragraphs, because I find that when everything's in one long paragraph, I just got bored and don't want to read it all. Also, my eyesight is so bad, that when I read my post, I can't see it properly when it's all squashed together.

I said I'd post more!

Wednesday 20th July 2011

OMG! Tomorrow is my last day at primary school! After the summer holidays, I'm moving up to secondary school. I will cherish my freedom at my new school! (And probably destroy it...)

Today, we made jewellery at this awesome shop! I made a green necklace and a yellow and pink bracelet. It was our year 6 living treat. Tomorrow we have our leaver's assembly, and I will wear the primary school uniform for the last time ever! :(

Oh well.

I had to hand in my flute and trombone today. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mum went out and bought all the teachers some presents, so that's sorted. Luckily I won't be stuck in the kitchen until 11:00pm baking then.

I've got 7 scarves to finger knit (or toe knit, it depends really).

Mum was doing sausages for dinner, and I switched the bottom oven on. She then put the sausages in the top oven. She came back 20 minutes later to check on the sausages, and discovered she'd put them in the wrong oven. Lucky I wasn't having sausages! I had my dinner early because I was sooo hungry from our treat! (Even though we had loads of biscuits.)

My nose infection is still not budging. It's so painful!

P.S Sorry for not posting!

Tuesday 12th July

Today has been the pits. I got my school report yesterday and apparently I am unable to work in teams, and I'm rubbish at P.E. The team work bit is unfair, but I'm not bothered about PE because I hate sports anyway.

I have an infection in my nose, so I can't touch it, sneeze, yawn, move my face in anyway, etc. It's very painful and everyone's saying I should take some Paracetamol, but I don't like taking medicine in any form. Also, I don't think it will actually work. While I write this, I am thinking,

Will anyone actually read this post?

Lets hope they will. Talking to myself is boring, and trust me, I've had to do a lot of it.

I don't like the way that we only ever work in teams at school. The government think that kids should be able to work well in teams, but what about on their own? What happens if they suddenly have to do some really important project on their own? Then they might not know what to do. Also, I hate the fact that we're always put with people we don't get along with. That's annoying.

I have been knitting non stop for a few days, and it's still going strong. I've knitted things for my little teddies!

Sunday 10th July 2011

Today has been...boring.

I am bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored and.....bored.

On Friday we had some big assembly about nits. If I ever get nits, I'll train them to be the amazing, travelling nit circus. One of my latest money making schemes. My last few schemes have been renting out my bedroom to other members of the family, a bakery, knitting shop and restaurant. I hope my nit circus will do well.

Anyway, here's a video I felt like making:

Oh no, that was a dream. Sorry!

I made meringues today! But...the oven got neglected. It took revenge and burnt my meringues! Actually, I just forgot about them because I was too busy complaining about being bored AND having a sore hand from all the meringue making. I was pretty sure it had to be amputated, but luckily I was assured that it hadn't quite reached that stage.

Just a few words of randomness before I sign off:

People called Shirley surf on bananas.
Bananas surf on people called Shirley.

P.S: 120 out of 150 marks in my piano exam. I got a merit!!!!!

Thursday 7th July 2011

Hello!

We had sports day today, and it was boring. I think it's because I'm in the last year of Primary school, and we do the same thing every year, so it does get quite boring after 7 years. We had a big race at the end, 1 year at a time. I came last out of the meagre 5 in my year, and I really embarrassed myself. Everyone else had gone right ahead and I was far behind them. The shame! I'm sooooooooooo s..........l...............o.................w.

I'm glad sports day is over and done with.

I now have exactly 2 weeks until I break up and leave primary school for ever! *sobs* *moans*
I am looking forward to big school though.

Here's a little poem I created about my hatred of little brothers:

Oh. I've forgotten it.

Saturday July 2nd 2011

I haven't posted in a while. I've been very busy!

Here are some updates:

1. I got a book signed by an author called Bryony Allen. She had written a book called OTOLI, and she was signing copies. You find out what OTOLI means in the book. It means 'On The Outside Looking In'. It is a fantastic book, it was written for teenagers but it's alright for children a few years younger.

2. I went on a school trip for 2 days and 1 night. It was great fun but the food was awful. They somehow managed to fit 2 sessions of teams tasks, cycling, archery, crates, super swing, assault course and low ropes into 2 days!

All for now!

Friday June 24th 2011

Today has been bad. I lost a Club Penguin crab of mine called Klutzy on Wednesday, and I think it was stolen. It payed good money for that crab!!! It still hasn't been found yet. :(

This morning, I tried Weetabix Minis fruit and nut. It's really nice! I had a huge cup of tea, which all my Mum's friends complain that it rots my teeth. I clean my teeth, and they don't look rotten to me, thank you very much!

I am going through a cheese phase right now, I'm mainly having Red Leicester cheese and Brie. My favourite brie is french brie. I have cheese sandwiches, baked potato and cheese, and random lumps of cheese.

Also, this week I have met Franky and Stompin Bob on Club Penguin. I got screen shots:

Franky is a normal name, but Stompin Bob!? Such a weird name! Can't he be called just plain Bob? Same with G Billy. Why can't he just be called Billy? That G just snuck is because it needed lots of attention. G. Look! It just did it again. It always sneaks in like that!

Anyway, flute lesson went well, sad news in the middle of it. :'(

Roast dinner for dinner. On a Friday?!!!!!! It took less than 2 hours to cook, chicken, stuffing and all!

Goodbye for now!

Monday 20th June 2011

Today:

I have knitted like a mad dog. Knit, knit, knit. Also, I twisted my arm whilst playing a wonky Tenor recorder. The head was stiff so I couldn't move it in line with the body, so I had my arm at a funny angle and twisted it. Also, playing the Tenor recorder has added a 7th instrument to my list! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! I can now play descant recorder, bass recorder, tenor recorder, flute, piano, trombone, and cornet. I only play five of these, but if you handed me the other 2, I could play them!

For breakfast I used up my Weetabix choc chip minis. Back to bran flakes. :(

True story:
My Mum's email stopped working. She stopped getting emails when she had 666 emails in her inbox. Creepy...

These are my Easter chicks! I have put them by my Easter egg cup from Sainsburys. It's in my Mum's bedroom. It's not Easter anymore. :(
Overall, I have had a weird day. I looked at mould from my friend's lunchbox in science!!!!!

Looking forward to eating Red Leicester Cheese, baked potato and home grown lettuce!!!!!

Cooking!

This weekend I have cooked LOADS. On Saturday I made Italian Ciabatta cheese and basil bread and spinach/rocket and tomato pasta. And on Sunday, I made a sponge cake with buttercream icing piped on and carrot soup.

Here is a recipe for Spinach/Rocket and tomato pasta:

You will need:

As many tomatoes as you like, of any sort.

As much spinach or rocket that you like.

2 cloves of garlic

Salt and Pepper to taste.

As much pasta as you like. Traditionally it is tagliatelle.

1. Boil a pan of water, enough for the amount of pasta you are cooking.

2. Put the pasta in the boiling water and sprinkle in some salt.

3. While the pasta is cooking, heat up some olive oil in a frying pan, finely chop the garlic and cook until golden. When the garlic is cooked, slice up the tomato and put the sliced tomato and the spinach in the pan. Cook for 1 minute.

4. When the pasta is ready, mix in the sauce and some balsamic vinegar and salt and pepper.

5. Eat with Parmesan cheese and Italian bread.

Carrot Soup:

You will need:

1lb Carrots, peeled and chopped.

1 medium onion. (You can replace half the onion with a stick of chopped celery if you like.0

1 tablespoon of butter.

500ml Chicken or Vegetable stock

Salt and Pepper to taste

1. Get a medium sized pan and heat up some oil.

2. In the pan, fry the onions and/or celery with the salt and pepper.

3. When the onions are cooked, mix in the carrot and stock.

4. Cook until carrots and softish. You may have to keep adding water because the water from the stock will evaporate off.

5. When cooked, you MUST blend it. You can always leave a few lumps in it.

6. Eat with cheddar cheese and bread. Enjoy!

I cook a lot, and I'm thinking about doing CBBC Junior Bake Off!
